Orca’s mission is to become the leading provider of financial primitives on Solana. Orca sees a future where a meaningful percentage of the world’s financial transactions is powered by CLAMMs and other Decentralized Finance (DeFi) products. Orca’s looking to add talent to accelerate our progress towards that vision.
We are looking for someone to lead our Marketing team and strategy. A successful candidate will be fully bought in on Orca’s mission. This role will be part of the leadership team and will own the branding of Orca. The candidate should have an excellent understanding of all common DeFi primitives and the Solana ecosystem. An in-depth understanding of Orca’s CLAMM product is particularly important.
What You’ll Do:
- Review and translate strategy into actionable marketing plans.
- Lead the Marketing team to create targeted, relevant content (Twitter, LinkedIn, etc) that aligns with Orca’s brand and strategy.
- Develop and implement Orca’s channel marketing strategy: rank channels, plan channel-specific initiatives, identify success metrics, and execute campaigns.
- Collaborate across organizational functions to market product releases and amplify Orca’s brand.
- Establish an analytics-driven growth culture by integrating data insights into every marketing decision and campaign.
- Continue to expand Orca’s reach to new and existing DeFi users.
- Begin to position yourself as a public figure for Orca. This could include speaking at conferences, appearing on podcasts, writing for industry publications, or other activities depending on your strengths and preferences.
What You’ll Bring:
- Deep understanding of the culture of crypto Twitter, especially within the Solana community.
- Track record of executing successful cross-channel marketing campaigns.
- Significant experience personally using Orca and other Solana DeFi protocols.
- Ownership mentality: if you see a better way, say something and work with others to get it done.
- Team player mentality: a good leader doesn’t put one’s self above others, but rather, is able to motivate others to work as a team.
- Thought process that is both creative and analytical, with the ability to put yourself in the user’s shoes.
- Ability to think big picture but also a willingness to get in the weeds and do the work.
What Orca offers
- Salary: 160,000 - 225,000 USDC (Range for US employees)
- Token allocation: 150,000 - 200,000 ORCA over 4 years (Range for US employees)
