The role
The Business Development team is responsible for identifying the best partnership opportunities for OpenZeppelin's team and reaching out to the most exciting projects in the web3 ecosystem.
As a Business Development Representative, you will serve as the first point of contact for founders and investors of new Web3 projects, facilitating our Business Development team and helping with day-to-day tasks.
What you'll do
- Research and identify new partnership opportunities and projects that are an excellent fit for OpenZeppelin's services.
- Map decision makers on channels including, but not limited to, Telegram, LInkedIn, Discord, Forums, emails, conferences, etc.
- Create copy for targeted outreach.
- Schedule calls with potential partners and clients.
- Send timely follow-ups and track each partnership. Coordinate next steps.
- Maintain relationships with existing partners and clients, send updates about OpenZeppelin's news, and coordinate activity with the marketing team.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, with great communication skills via chat and email.
- Excellent research skills, ability to skim long documents and information, and identify key points.
- Concise communication style and ability to convey information in a short and clear format via text and video conferencing.
- Curiosity to learn new things and explore innovative ideas.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to manage your own time, report on goals, and assess the progress of your work.
- Passion and/or experience with blockchain technology, open-source, cybersecurity, or similar highly technical industry.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Hubspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email mining tools, and Messari.
- Experience selling products and services to developers and other technical customers.
- Experience working at a technology startup.
- Basic technical knowledge of smart contracts, DeFi, DAOs, and Layer 2 Rollups.
- Experience working at a fully-remote company.
Location
This is a 100% remote position with no travel required but we are only hiring in the following time zone range:
- UTC -8 to UTC +3
Logistics
- Our interview process takes place on Zoom and tends to consist of the following stages:
- Recruiter call (30-45 minutes)
- Hiring Manager call (30 minutes)
- Team member interview (30 minutes)
- Leadership call (30 minutes)
- Paid work test (no more than 2-3 days)
